LocalScribe is a Windows app that turns recordings into text on your own PC. No account, no uploads, nothing leaves your computer.
What it does
- Opens MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, WMA, FLAC, MP4, MOV and WMV files (drag and drop).
- 99 languages with automatic detection, including English and Vietnamese.
- Exports TXT, SRT and VTT subtitles, and Word documents (DOCX).
- Uses your graphics card (Vulkan) when available, and the CPU otherwise.

The first time you use a model, LocalScribe downloads it once (60 MB to 574 MB). After that it works without an internet connection.
